Smart label newgistics tracking12/16/2023 ![]() It doesnt appear on the smart label site and I dropped it off a week ago exactly. But I thought I'd mention this here anyway. This is very concerning as I too cannot track the package. Also I don't know if this new procedure is nationwide or just local to my area, or for that matter, the specific UPS store I used. And there are stories in these forums of people returning equipment back to ATT and ATT claiming they never got the stuff. I don't trust it because it depends on timing that's non-deterministic (when did UPS actually get around to sending back their accumulation) and no specific tracking number. It worked, this time, but next time I think I'll use the label and box it up myself before going over to UPS. I was already at the UPS store so I decided to try their new procedure. They said if I wanted to use that mailing label it was my responsibility to box up the equipment and use the label on that box. But UPS said they didn't want it and told me of the new procedure. Presumably that was intended to be given to UPS to the return of the old gateway. Oddly, there was a UPS mailing label included with the new gateway. I waited about a week an a half and then I called ATT to see if they got it. But there is no tracking number assigned to your specific return to track that return. UPS does give you a receipt with a reference (not tracking) number and records your ATT account number so at least you have some proof it was given to UPS. When I went to return that UPS said that they now have received instructions from ATT to accumulate a bunch returns in a single box until they have "enough" or a week goes by and then send the box back to ATT. I asked to speak with a supervisor and actually got connected to one. The issue was resolved today, they credited my account $774.80 the amount of the old cell phone. I'm putting this here in the hopes someone from ATT with some common sense sees it. I can track my return with no problem, the employee at the ATT store can track my return with no problems. I believe this issue was caused by the shipping label from Newgistics called a Smart Label. Now I afraid to upgrade my other line, I will not upgrade or do anything until this issue is resolved. I have two phones on my account and was about to upgrade the other phone when this happened. I have an active case with a case number. I called customer service today Dec 5, 2018, they were unable to tell me what the package contains and I would just have to wait and see. I have a funny feeling this is my old cell phone. Today Dec 5, 2018, I received a text from UPS saying I have a 2 day Air package scheduled to be delivered at my home Dec 6, 2018, fromĪTT Mobility Forth Worth, Tx USA. The two that were able to track my phone said they would take care of the problem. I gave the tracking number to at least 7 ATT employees, only 2 were able to track my cell phone. I have driven 4 hours, spent about 20 hours on the phone with ATT customer service over a 4 day period. I checked the tracking number and tracked my return, it said delivered to return center Oct 4, 2018, at 6 pm Fort Worth Texas 76177. This month I checked my bill and there was a charge for not returning my old phone. On I received my new iPhone Xsm Max, I traded my old from in using the ATT Next plan. ![]()
